Ewing has been making documentaries and episodic television for more than forty years. He is credited with changing the look of procedural dramas in the nineties by creating the visual style of Homicide Life on the Street for NBC as the original Director of Photography and a Director of the show.
Polo es Mi Vida - an autobiographical series - is currently in production. The episodes chronicle Ewing’s quixotic attempt to train two wild horses to play polo intertwined metaphorically with scenes from his many films.
